About the Program
Join us for a special matinee screening of Thelma, starring June Squibb. This film follows a 93-year-old grandmother who, after falling victim to a phone scam, embarks on an unexpected journey across Los Angeles to recover her stolen money—with the help of a friend and his motorized scooter.
Before the screening, attendees are welcome to explore the 2025 Winter Exhibitions at the Varley Art Gallery. Following the film, York Regional Police officers will lead a discussion on fraud prevention for seniors, covering common scams, protective measures, and available resources.
